PPQ

In east London, 1992, Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker created fashion label PPQ, and with it came the inimitable style that continues to set the beat for London’s fashion drum today.

From the early days there were zeitgeist design moves: the label’s signature smock dresses and mini, modern cocktail gowns became fashion insider staples. Fashion’s best kept secret inevitably rolled off tongues and on to London Fashion Week’s official show calendar to showers of success.

For S/S10, the design duo take inspiration from the 'Good Corporate Citizen'. Paying her taxes in style, bold statements are her passport.

Once again it is a cutting-edge collection in a spectrum of vivid colours, strong shapes, bold prints and elaborate fabrics that will no doubt please celebrity fans including Alexa Chung, Peaches Geldof, Lily Allen, Daisy Lowe and Agyness Deyn.

Waists are high – in tribal printed skirts, brocade trousers and frill-trimmed dresses. Colours are pretty and eye-popping bright, from pink, orange and mustard to green and blue; bold monochrome stripes also make an appearance.

Some dresses fit tight across the body, others more flowing and forgiving; hemlines vary just as much.
