Madè means 'second born' in Balinese. The first birth was the development of the idea, the second one the making of.... Madè. A dynamic company founded by Miriam Flores and Jack van Messel. Upon graduation (Cum Laude) from the Rotterdam Fashion Academy, Miriam (Brazilian born) worked for two major Dutch labels. After graduating, Miri decided to start her own label.

Manhattan's lucky few In the late seventies and early eighties, Studio 54 was a world-renowned nightclub. The nightclub embodied the illustrious and glamorous disco-era and all its excesses. The mystery, magnetism and over-the-top allure of Studio 54 turned it into the place to be for celebrities and rising stars. Miriam Flores has translated the Disco-era of celebrities such as Bianca Jagger, Andy Warhol, Jerry Hall, Janis Joplin, Debbie Harry, Yoko Ono and Farrah Fawcett into a stunning collection. The legendary parties of trend-setting New York have come together in a contemporary collection of ultimate femininity with a good dose of Glam Rock. Polo striped sub-collection After a personal journey to Hong Kong, designer Miriam Flores was inspired by the British influence in China and created a special AW09-10 striped sub-collection. Dresses, tops, and skirts of wool and silk in soft colors and lines have been given the classic British stripes.
