Bernadette Deddens

Since graduating from Royal College of Art, MA Design Products in 2006, Bernadette Deddens works as an accessories designer in collaboration with fashion designers and on self initiated projects from her studio in London.

Bernadette investigates, designs and produces fashion accessories. By exploring their physical and narrative possibilities and researching their historical and symbolical connotations, Bernadette intends to diversify the variety of fashion accessories. Bernadette perceives the fashion accessory as a tool to communicate identity and as a prop that can subtly influence our behaviour. They add small-scale drama to daily life.
