Collection

'Check me' A/W 08-09 An Autumn Winter collection inspired by Lindsay’s dad's old sheepskin jacket and influenced by photographs of the fishwives of Newhaven, Edinburgh. My collection fuses traditional aspects of Scotland's social history with modern ready to wear, through the use of checked wools highlighted by flashes of colour.

Texture has been created on top of fabric by representing tartan check and aaron wool jumpers with knitted fringing and pom poms. Giant pom poms formed onto the side of sculpted hats inject fun and complete each outfit.

The objective for the collection was to update and modernise the quintessential 'Scottish Look'.
